Greater Triangle Islamic Community and Kehillah Synagogue Habitat for Humanity Joint Sunday Build Project

The greater Triangle Islamic community and Kehillah Synagogue have been exploring ways to jointly serve the community and, in so doing, get to know each other better.  Service to the community is core to both of our faiths.  A joint Habitat for Humanity Orange County Sunday interfaith build, followed by a simple outdoor meal, has been identified as an ideal first project. We hope there will be future joint projects. Each community is asked to contribute 8 volunteers for a total of 16. Volunteers must be at least 16-years-old.

This joint build has been scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 13, from 8:00-12:00, in Chapel Hill (location TBA), with a light lunch to follow. Below is the Habitat registration info and link.

Everyone will have until 24-hours prior to the shift start time to sign-up online.  Those new to our volunteer portal will first need to create an account before registering for the session.  We’ll send everyone a reminder email the day before with additional “day-of” details.

When registering, don’t use the events dropdown list.  Once you’re logged in to your account, you should see a calendar below with only your shift listed on November 13th.  Click on the day, then click “sign-up” to register for the session.
