Kehillah Book Club

If you like to read and discuss literature about Jewish topics, then you are invited to join Kehillah’s bimonthly book club. The book club is open to all Kehillah members. Meetings during the winter and early spring will be hybrid in-person and Zoom, with in-person only meetings starting in May that will be held outdoors.

Books are selected by members. Past selections have included People Love Dead Jews by Dara Horn, House on Endless Waters by Emuna Elon, and Israel: A Simple Guide to the Most Misunderstood Country on Earth.

Our upcoming meetings will be as follows:

Thursday, January 12, 7pm: Lovesong: Becoming a Jew by Julius Lester

Thursday, March 2, 7pm: Cover Me With My Izar by Nora Houri-Haim

Sunday, May 21, 2pm: Who by Fire: Leonard Cohen in the Sinai by Matti Friedman

No date or selection has been set for July’s meeting, but we do know the meeting will be led by a member of Kehillah’s Racial Equity Team. Check back here or look out for the e-newsletter announcement for more information.
