Kehillah Garden Project

A group of devoted Kehillah gardeners is working to bring our courtyard garden back to life. Our Kehillah Garden Crew are working together on the courtyard to create a feeling of calm, well-being, sweetness (no’am), and peace (shalom) for Kehillah gatherings. Planting native plants from the Southeast, compatible non-natives, biblical plants, scented plants, and edibles will help Kehillah members and the children in our schools engage with the garden on multiple levels: visuals, texture, touch, scent, and taste. Our site will be gardened organically and create a healthy home for plants, pollinators and insects, and native birds.
Our goal over three years is to create a beautiful garden to help support the Jewish community and member engagement at the Kehillah.
