Dear KRS Families,
I am thrilled to be welcoming Abe Bocinec to the Kehillah staff as our new Education Coordinator! In case you missed the email message from last week, I will be serving as Director of the Religious School, and we have created this new position of Education Coordinator to support the administration and management of the school and our B’nai Mitzvah program. Abe is starting work at Kehillah this week, and there will be opportunities to get to know him as the year gets underway. He can be reached at abe@kehillahsynagogue.org.
Abe brings a unique set of experiences to this role and I could not think of someone better suited to join the Kehillah team in this capacity. From his involvement with his home synagogue’s religious school, to his leadership as president of the University of Georgia Hillel, Abe holds a clear passion for Jewish education and creativity. Recently, he has worked in healthcare community building, where he has shown the ability to effectively communicate, problem solve and build relationships. The whole Kehillah staff is eager to start working with Abe and we are excited for the ways that he will enhance Kehillah’s educational programs.
Here’s a brief message from Abe:
I’m so happy to have the opportunity to introduce myself as your new Education Coordinator! I can’t wait to create a shared vision with you – one that not only imparts knowledge but also cultivates a sense of belonging and togetherness. For me, building community through education has always been at the core of my professional and personal endeavors. It’s my genuine passion to foster an environment where individuals come together, support one another, and inspire each other’s learning journeys. I’m truly honored to be a part of the Kehillah community and I cannot wait to meet all of you, to learn from you, and to work alongside you in building a strong and connected community through education.
You’ll be hearing from the two of us as we gear up for school. As a reminder, registration is now open at this link, and we ask that you complete the form by August 15th. Let us know if you have any questions. Thank you!
Rabbi Solomon
